Pregnancy causes many changes to a woman’s body. Pregnant women usually experience lower back pain when carrying a child. This is because most of their weight is in the front part of their body. This increase in weight puts a large amount of stress on the lower back muscles.
Chiropractic treatment helps an expectant mother’s body adapt to stress during their chiropractic visits. In turn, this helps benefit mothers-to-be and their children, by teaching them how to adapt to other environmental stressors they will face in life.
At Thriving Life Wellness Center, we've helped many patients in San Francisco, CA recover from lower back pain when carrying a child.
I have been seeing Christine regularly for about a year for a variety of issues related to repetitive strain and postural issues from my work. Her work is gentle and profound, and she is a thorough, thoughtful, and very gifted practitioner. Highly recommend!
Threw my back out this morning putting my dog into my car, they were able to get me in same day and now I have a plan moving forward to fix some lingering issues. Dr. Kate Russell was amazing and I cannot recommend this place enough
Great treatment and service! Dr. Kate truly listened to my medical history with my hip issue so she could better understand how to treat me. She recommended that I do decompression therapy and will see how this helps. So far, after the first session, I can feel an improve in my mobility and pain is less.
After one session I am fully back in alignment, no pain and I'm feeling just so much happier. So grateful. High recommends!
For the best decent massage and other extraordinary service. I give my service to your satisfaction and for the best.
I saw Dr. Christine during my second pregnancy, I was struggling with horrible hip pain and back pain. She helped me get back into alignment and helped my posture. I had a wonderful birthing experience which I know would have been different if my hips were not as they should have been.
Towards the end of my pregnancy, my little guy was sunny side up and I started *having back pain (back labor) *which was excruciating. I made an appointment with her when I was 36 weeks and she helped relieve all the pain and pressure in my back and hips. I instantly felt better. Now, post baby, she’s helping me with back pain from breastfeeding and carrying around a little munchkin all day. Every time I leave her office I feel like I went to the spa! If you’re pregnant or postpartum, I’d highly recommend her.
Dr Ameneh was a miracle worker for me during pregnancy. I had back issues that my Dr said there was no solution for. I went to Dr Ameneh for 2 weeks and my back was completely better. I continued to see her throughout my pregnancy and continued to be very active and healthy. I'm so grateful to her. I was nervous about seeing a chiropractor as I'd never been to one before but I can't recommend Dr Ameneh highly enough!!
I came to Dr. Ameneh with severe sciatica pains that only came up during pregnancy. My only regret is not coming to see her earlier in my pregnancy after suffering for months in pain. It was only after two visits that I immediately began to feel relief. I also appreciate that Dr. Ameneh walks through each adjustment with me, making sure I am aware of what she's doing, and provide helpful stretches to do on my own at home. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Ameneh to any mama to be! It honestly is such a little treat for our growing bodies during pregnancy.
